Naverisk, a remote monitoring and management (RMM) and service desk platform provider, will integrate Scorpion Software's AuthAnvil to provide new security and authentication capabilities to managed service providers (MSPs).

"Naverisk [has] been built with security in mind, but ultimately, IT systems are only as secure as their passwords. By integrating AuthAnvil with Naverisk, we are delivering the tools our partners need to ensure the ongoing security of their and their clients' IT systems," Jon Kalaugher, Naverisk founder and CEO, said in a prepared statement.

According to Naverisk, the integration could benefit MSPs in several ways, including:

  • Centralized password management
  • Single sign-on
  • Two-factor authentication

Julian Scott, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Scorpion, noted that the integration could help MSPs bolster their security.

"By partnering with Naverisk, we are continuing to focus on being the preferred authentication solution for IT services management," Scott said. "Adding Naverisk to our portfolio of RMM integration partners ensures that MSPs using Naverisk can enforce strong credential management internally, and provide AuthAnvil to their customers as part of an Authentication-as-a-Service (AaaS) offering."

AuthAnvil is designed to make it easier for end users to securely access corporate resources, applications and websites both on-premise and in the cloud, Scorpion said. Naverisk plans to include AuthAnvil in its 2014 R1 release, scheduled for next month.
