According to a prepared statement from both companies: "With this integration, alerts and service tickets created in Kaseya service center will automatically sync with ConnectWise. Notes and status changes will sync back and forth seamlessly, assuring that multiple business stakeholders can remain in the loop on customer support issues."
Thousands of MSPs run ConnectWise (professional services automation) and Kaseya (remote monitoring, management and IT automation) software in tandem. Off the top of my head, I think roughly one-third of the MSPmentor 100 companies leverage ConnectWise and Kaseya side-by-side.
ConnectWise and Kaseya compete on some fronts, so some MSPs have been a little nervous about long-term ConnectWise-Kaseya relations. ConnectWise Capital holds a stake in LabTech Software, maker of an RMM platform that competes with Kaseya. And Kaseya has disclosed plans to add some PSA functions -- called Business Center PSA -- to its cloud offerings.
Despite some potential competitive overlap, both ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini and Kaseya CEO Gerald Blackie have vowed to keep their respective platforms and APIs open for third-party integrations. And as Jeannine Edwards, director of ConnectWise Community, put it in a prepared statement, “Our respective companies can realize more growth through teamwork.”
