The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), designed as a standards organization for mobile service enabler specification work, will be holding a member meeting from April 16 - 19 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers.

For those of you unfamiliar with OMA, the Open Mobile Alliance conducts two types of global member events throughout the year, OMA Technical Plenary / Working Group meetings and OMA TestFests. These meetings allow OMA members to discuss new work for OMA.

OMA member companies fall into four categories: wireless vendors, information technology companies, mobile operators, and application and content providers. The Open Mobile Alliance seeks to grow the mobile market by removing obstacles in the way, as well as being the center of mobile application standardization work, enabling the creation of mobile services designed to meet the needs of the end-user.
