MobileIron (MOBL) announced a partnership with connection lifecycle management software provider Tangoe (TNGO) to bring customers a central location to purchase all of their mobility managed services.

The partnership is expected to help joint customers get business advantages including improved security and policy enforcement, decreased expenses, and increased efficiency, in addition to improved user visibility, and management simplification, according to the announcement.

Tangoe CEO Al Subbloie said the partnership will help customers to focus on business transformation instead of spending time worrying about maintaining their mobility solutions.

“The collaboration between Tangoe and MobileIron is especially powerful to our vision of expanding our global managed mobility solution and services to deliver customers a fully integrated solution designed to optimize and manage the complete lifecycle of mobile enterprise communications,” said Subbloie, in a statement.

Tangoe will also resell MobileIron’s EMM software in an effort to simplify the shopping experience for customers.

Both companies promise to deliver value solutions surrounding several specific areas, including streamlined and automated processes to help lower expense and increase efficiency. A single view of mobility tools and access to additional usage, security, policy and expense information is expected to increase value as well. IT administrators can even automatically locate and disable devices for inactive employees or to prevent data loss and theft through the partnership.

“Mobile is by far the most challenging technology that companies deal with. The pace of change is relentless and delivering security and innovation at enterprise scale is really hard,” said Bob Tinker, CEO of MobileIron. “Our partnership with Tangoe brings together our strong enterprise mobility management (EMM) with Tangoe’s strong MMS offering and the biggest beneficiaries are our customers.”
