ControlCircle, an MSP focused on the banking, accounting, legal and commercial sectors, wants to become "the UK's foremost managed services provider," according to a prepared statement from ControlCircle CEO Carmen Carey. To that end, ControlCircle has added three members to its management team, each set to lead three separate company initiatives.: sales, finance and technical services.

Here's the rundown of the three newly-appointed ControlCircle executives:
  • Tim Theobalds will become ControlCircle's new finance director and head the company's day-to-day finance activities. Theobalds was previously a business manager, business excellence director and financial controller with Microsoft Advertising.
  • Tim Cox will lead client satisfaction, service excellence and technical innovation projects as ControlCircle's technical services director. Cox is jumping over from Global Crossing, where he held three separate director positions for over two decades combined.
  • Steven Standring will lead ControlCircle's growth strategy as the company's sales director. Lots of weight falls on Standring's shoulders, as much of his work will be focused on expanding on the company's indirect and direct channel sales strategies and bringing Carey's vision of becoming the top MSP in the UK to fruition.
ControlCircle designs, implements and manages the IT infrastructure of software apps. It offers data center services, connectivity management, application monitoring and management, and a suite of cloud services.

So, can ControlCircle become the UK's top managed services provider? That's impossible for MSPmentor to say since we don't have access to the company's financial data. We don't believe the company participated in last year's MSPmentor 100 survey, which tracks the top 100 MSPs worldwide and also pinpointed the top 20 MSPs in Europe.

Our next MSPmentor 100 survey will run October through December 2011, with results in February 2012. And yes: We plan to offer a break-out look at MSPs doing business in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
