Intronis has launched Intronis University, a business training and certification program for its channel partners.

The Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based cloud backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions provider said the new program can help Intronis channel partners better support their customers.

"Intronis University fast-tracks our channel partners to success by offering them easy access to the training resources and best practices they need to successfully support their cloud-based data protection services and win more business," Jasmine Lombardi, Intronis' vice president of partner success, said in a prepared statement.

Intronis University features two curricula:

  • Business track: Includes sales and marketing modules that are designed to help channel partners successfully position and promote their Intronis BDR solutions.
  • Technician track: Includes learning modules that are supported by quizzes, videos and content to teach channel partners how to use Intronis BDR solutions and support Intronis ECHOplatform data protection platform customers.

Channel partners can take advantage of the new Certified Intronis Partner Technician (CIPT) Program too.

The CIPT Program includes two certifications:

  • Level One: Awarded to IT technicians who complete a set of fundamental "Core Modules."
  • Level Two: Awarded to IT technicians who complete two or more advanced "Elective Modules" in addition to the Core Modules and indicates that the channel partner is equipped to deliver the best level of service to their small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers.

"The need and demand for cloud-based data protection services is on the rise. Partners who take advantage of Intronis University and our new certification program gain valuable insight and best practices not only when it comes to the technology, but also making the business case for managed data protection," an Intronis spokesperson told MSPmentor.

Intronis University is now available for free to Intronis channel partners.

An Intronis spokesperson noted the cloud BDR solutions provider also is planning to add a sales and marketing certification program and a re-certification program that will allow the company's channel partners to re-test based on new features and functionalities that are added to its ECHOplatform.
